International Yoga Day celebrations

“Yoga adds energy, strength and beauty to body, mind and soul.”
The program commenced with prayer. Our Vice Principal Smt.K.Subasri said that, Yoga is a type of exercise in which you move your body into various position in order to become more fit or flexible, to improve your breathing, and to relax your mind. Yoga is a form of exercise that originated in ancient India and is widely across the world today. Yoga not only enhances your physical strength but also contributes largely towards your mental health and spiritual growth. Yoga gives long term benefits when your make it an integral part of life.
40 participants performed the yoga. In that 25 gents and 15 ladies were participated. The following asanas were accomplished by our participants.
ASANAS BENEFITS
Tadasana - It improves focus and concentration power.
Vrikshasana - It Strengthens the legs
Trikonasana - It helps to increase the concentration power
Bhujangasana - It strengthen the lower back muscles.
Paschimottanasana - It helps in improving the flexibility of the Hamstrings and hips
The assembly started with Vidyabharathi prayer. Our beloved Principal Smt.B.UshaRani spoke about importance of the day and also she said that India is celebrating June 21st as “INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY”. It reveals the awareness of yoga to all the people. There is not age limit to do the yoga, and it increases the power of concentration and immunity. She advised 10 th and 12 th standard students, to do the yoga for increase power, 210 students of 10 th standard performed the asanas which will keep the mind relax.
Second batch of the parents, 48 ladies and 14 gents participated in yoga enthusiastically and they have learnt the benefits of yoga and they were adviced to do the yoga daily.
Totally batch of the parents 135 ladies and 30 gents were involved to practice the yoga vibrantly.
Third batch of the parents 200 ladies and 75 gents participated in yoga eagerly. They were asked to do the yoga daily.
107 teachers and 15 non-teaching staff involved in yoga to keep the mind relax.
Totally 2883 participated were performed the yoga enthusiastically. They were advised to practice the yoga daily.
