Deeksha camp 

  The thought of service should be inculcated in the mind of the young children. Deeksha camp helps children to learn the art of living in the society. All the  students of  class X from TVT,GPD& JNR participated in Deeksha camp. They gained insight about  various sections of the society. Activities like community surveys, visiting old  age home, sports for adopted children by our school, vilakku pooja for girls,Kandha Shasti Kavasam &  Abirami Andhadhi for boys, bhajan song, camp song, group discussion,  documentary film, yoga, brain and brawn , visiting temples etc helped the children to understand the importance of service in life. Sri. L. Natarajanji delivered the speech about Desiyame Deivegam. Sri. K. Ponraman, Education Officer, VES motivated the students to contribute their service towards the nation through team work. Kum. C. C. Reetha, Tamil Department spoke about "Thiruvottiyur Perumai". Sri. V. Nandakumar, IRS conducted motivation programme for students and gave some useful tips on goal setting, self-confidence,four aims in life, focussing the mind, practice visualization and concentration techniques. Sri T.Chakravathy, Vice President,Vivekananda Educational Society delivered the valedictory address.
