Special Feature - Service Activities of Alumni:

A School’s reputation is created and sustained by its students past and present. Alumni are key to an institution’s growth. SRDKVV Alumni association has been formed to create a lasting relationship between the school and the alumni of various batches. The old students have been involving themselves in taking up various service activities such as blood donation camp, medical checkup camp, career guidance programme, Inter school science quiz etc. They adopted the needy children and pay fee regularly. Our school conducts alumni meet for our school alumni on 26th January& 15th August.

They participated in Vigyana Pradarshini putting up stalls on eradication of Seemaikaruvelam tree bringing awareness about good touch and bad touch, minimising plastic usage, cleaning lake, don’t litter campaign and Don’t waste food campaign. This team has served the Chennai flood victims also on almost all the days visiting and supplying alms in the flood affected areas. Their service was recognized by many organizations.

Harigaran, the alumni of SRDKVV advocates and supports the deserving community to make positive changes in their lives. He started Swami Vivekananda Sevai Maiyam (Free Tuition Evening class) before 10 years for the under privileged students and now he has been continuing that with 120 students.

We are proud to share our happiness that our vidyalaya has received “Swatch vidyalaya puraskar Award” and Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000 from Chennai Corporation.

In conclusion, we wish to express our most sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed their might to the making of this glorious institution.
